I've been thinking of doing some photography and movies to sell through clips4sale. Is it illegal to film softcore stuff in CT?

It depends on what you mean by "softcore." It also depends upon whether you're planning on doing solo shoots or performing with a partner, as the latter may trigger the application of CT prostitution or pandering laws.
