Hi, I'm a recently graduated high school student living in Ohio. Since my junior year in school I've more or less known what I want to do with my life, produce adult videos. I'm not intrested in being a male performer, I'm more interested in filming, producing, editing, more or less anything but performing.

I know the market is extremely saturated especially with new sites trying to make a name for themselves. I'm more or less totally lost on how to procede with my goal. I've read about a guy offering classes and a book on how to get into the business, located out of Arizona. However this seems like a unnecessary and expensive route. I then considered taking a few filmography classes at a state university, is this necessary?

I'm really inspired by sites like Bangbros, Give Me Pink, and more or less any Japanese AV movies. I was actually thinking about moving to Japan and making movies there. Do you know anything about the Japanese market? Do they take kindly to foreigners moving in on their market?

I've read a few articles on this site and it seems attending convetions is a good way to raise your repute. How can I find out where these conventions are being held though? How much seed money do you think I would need to get a respectable business off the ground. Thanks for your help in advance.

Yes it’s basically either take the classes...which may help out if they can guarantee post career placement as well or just do some OTJ training. I know a lot of female models that have taken "square" mainstream model classes only to end up doing hardcore anal gangbangs...not to much "runway" related experience needed for that. So what I offer to you is to move to a more "porn friendly" environment and put your feelers out there to see what local jobs you can start out with. South Florida or Southern California would be the epicenters of starting a good career on either side of the camera.
