Question
What would you say is the best way for a talent manager starting out to find opportunities for his talent to work?  The talent would be recruited from Charlotte, North Carolina.  

One of the goals would be to provide talent with the maximum number of opportunities by finding producers locally (even if small), and producers in places such as Porn Valley for the more ambitious talent.  So far, I have found one local producer on Myspace.  The only other place I can think is calling the same ads that talent is recruited from, though I would think that would be very much a hit and miss kind of thing as some would be producers, while others would be agents.

Answer
I think like I have said before your best bet would be a bit of ojt....recruiting to bigger agencies and then after you understand the nature of this business go from there. Getting contact from myspace is like finding models off of craigslist. Most companies have their own website for everything in this biz including recruiting.
