Question
What are the ID requirements for performers?  I've seen some say all you need is a Driver's License.  Reading 2257 is confusing...

Hi Eirc,

Keep in mind that it is necessary to obtain TWO forms of ID from performers, and at least on of these MUST be a photo ID that clearly states the date of birth of the performer. Also understand that USC Title 18 Section 2257 IS NOT the only set of Federal Regulations you have to worry about. There is also CFR Title 28 Part 75.

The ONLY acceptable photo IDs are Passports, Permanent Resident Card (Green card), State Issued Drivers License, State Issued ID Card, or a Military ID.

A Birth Certificate or Social Security Card normally severs as the second ID.

If the Laws are this confusing to you then the best advice I can give you is to contact an Adult Industry Attorney and get him/her to assist you with figuring it all out. There are far more confusing and complicated issues to be addressed if you want to remain compliant with these laws.
