On 2/19/2005, you answered a question about HIV in porn. In it, you noted that Kayla Marie was tested HIV positive. I haven't been able to find anything confirming that on the net. In fact, the only thing I have seen is that she's still performing. The most recent video of hers I can find is Fetish Fanatic 2, with Belladonna. What's the deal? Did she test positive? Did you actually mean Miss Arroyo, another first-gen actress in the Darren James scare that did test positive? I'm just curious.

I did not mean Miss Arroyo. There were reports all over the Internet about Kayla Marie; AVN and several adult magazines had stories about it.

If she is back performing now, which I can't confirm, but I'll take your word for it, it could be because:

(a) the scenes are old and were filmed before she tested positibe
(b) the partners in the scene are aware of her status and using condoms
(c) the test results were wrong
(d) the reports were bogus
(e) she paid a lot of money and got the same drugs that helped Magic Johnson and Holly Johnson survive AIDS, and is now "cured" although this is obviously a controversial idea.
(f) it is a different Kayla Marie
