Adult Film/RE - Shooting Erotica In Fl
Expert: Jim Boyd - 12/25/2007
QuestionHey Jim, I don't know how to apologize enough here. I asked the last questions badly and here is what I meant.
Said I read somewhere other advisers (NOT YOU) mentioning Fl and Calif for adult work and not mentioning that it is illegal in Fl like you mentioned (thanks for doing that).
Please don't take it the wrong way and please accept my apology. Your advice is highly appreciated.
That said, would you provide any answers or suggestions about moving to California ?
Sorry for the miscommunication on my part.
AnswerHi Jason,
Thanks for clearing that up, and I too am sorry for the miscommunication.
Unfortunately, you may have read in several places where people have been advised to seek employment in this industry in the State of Florida, as well as being told Florida is a good place to start an Adult production company. All I can say is that those people have been ill-advised, and that advice should be considered highly questionable.
Just because Adult Material is being produced there in no way makes it legal….as Clinton McCowen (owner of Ray Guhn Productions) and Paul Little (AKA Max Hardcore owner of Max World Entertainment) recently discovered. Both are currently involved in criminal cases due to their production activities in the State of Florida.
As for moving to California to produce films, you shouldn’t jump the gun. It is not necessary to live in California or even have you production company located there to legally make Adult Films……you just simply have to do all of your shooting there.
If you do decide to make the move, then the Las Angeles or San Fernando areas the center of the majority of the Adult Entertainment world.
