I'm interested in investing in the adult film business, I'm writing you from Costa Rica in Central America. Write now this business is about to boom down here, is possible to film movies really cheap, costs are low down here, plus there lots of girls available (very pretty). Also lots of beautiful tropical locations to film.

My questions are the following:

1) What variables should I consider when budgeting such a venture?.

2) What kind of equipment do you recommend?

3) In regards to distribution, is it more profitable to sell it over the Internet, or sell the DVDs.

4) Are there ways to distributed these films in the U.S.A.?

5) What would the average pay or an actress or actor per film?

6) What variables should I consider when selecting personal?

7) How much money would it take to take such a business of the ground?

These are very broad questions and you should try to either catch an event or take one of the classes taught by an industry veteran. As for shows...AVN is the place to go...meet and greets with your perspective talent and meet all the other industry personnel. As for a recommended class....I suggest this one-

As for the rest of your questions-

1- cant help ya there
2- HD pro equipment
3- internet and vod
4- yes...you would have to go to the shows to meet these guys...and the fun part is that they are all in one spot.
5- this depends on a) the actress in question and b) the scene to be shot.
6- cant help you with that one.
7- that is once again a loaded question...what type of quality product you want to sell to consumers is what type of budget you will be projecting.
