Can talent work in films if anything comes back positive on their test sheet?
My girlfriend has made four website films and I worry she may be exposed to something nonlethal and lifelong like herpes or warts more than HIV.

Do actors and actresses get tested for std's besides HIV?  Are they tested for herpes or warts also?  Can talent work with herpes?  Is it even a stigma?  

I have read 25% of adults have been exposed to herpes viruses.  It would seem to me the exposure of talent to these std's would be almost automatic after a very short time.

yes talent in the biz gets the "full panel" std test and it includes all of them. go to www.aim-med.org for more info. as far as herpes...I do know that I dont have it....

If something comes up positive they have to retest and wait for the results. Also sometimes it is more up to the actual performer if the performers have signed a waiver of liability. because all talent is required to get a full panel test (go to aim-med.org to find out what this is).
