What is more important for the male porn star, how big his penis is, how long he can last in a scene or how much he can shoot the money shot?

Answer
There is no single quality that takes presidents when it comes to male performers. They really need to have the entire package, in both appearance and performance, to make it very far in this business. One of the reasons so many men who attempt to enter the business are unsuccessful is because the do not posses ALL of the necessary qualities.  

In addition to be physically attractive and having nice equipment a male performers must:

1)   Be able to get it up and keep it up, for long periods of time, despite reparative start/stop sexual activity. Sometimes it takes several hours to shoot a scene, and during that time shooting may be stopped for various reasons. These breaks in the action could be only a few minutes, or maybe a couple of hours, But no matter what, when the filming resumes he MUST be ready to go.

2)   Be able to keep it up and perform even when taking part in an activity he may consider a turn-off or if doing a scene with a woman he may not be particularly attracted to.


3)   Not be “homophobic”. Lets say it’s a group scene where he is working with a woman and another man. The scene calls for a Double Penetration and during the course of the action one of the guy’s genitals happen to come in contact with the genitals of the other guy.  Both of the men are just going to have to accept the fact its going to happen and not let it interfere with their performance.

4)   Accept the fact that no matter how good looking he is, no matter how nice his dick is and no matter how much he can make a woman scream with pleasure. it will NEVER be about him. Adult films are purchased and rented because of the women not the guys.


5)   Be able to control and time his ejaculation. Think “cum on command” within seconds of being told to.

6)   Be able to work in front of a crowd. Camera people, other performers, the director, producers, hair and make up people, lighting people, assistants and others may be on set at the time of the filming. He cant be shy.


Contrary to popular belief, it is not easy to be a male performer.
