whats the average cost of developing your own site, probably with a pre-designed template?

Are there any licenses I have to obtain? are they difficult to obtain and what is the cost?

can you explain the various cost and process of buying content for a site?

what is the process of filming my own content and getting it on to a site. I do realize that there will have to be editing involved.

I have been to brazil, Venezuela and Colombia.  and would like to film the content there and place it on the site.  can you offer any advice?

This is a question I have seen many times before. Unfortunately there are so many variables involved it is difficult to provide specific answers.

Q: whats the average cost of developing your own site, probably with a pre-designed template?

A : Site development can range from as little as $300 USD to $30,000 USD  depending on several factors such as, Web Designer, quantity, quality and type of graphic design work, hosting, bandwidth usage, marketing plans and about a dozen other things.

Q: Are there any licenses I have to obtain?

A: Yes/No/Maybe. There are no licenses required to own and operate a Web Site. However, a website of this type IS a business and some states/cities may require you to have a business license if you plan to operate the website from within their jurisdiction. Forming a Corporation or Limited Liability Company to operate such a business is always a good idea.

Q: are they difficult to obtain and what is the cost?

A: They are not difficult to obtain but, cost is going to vary from state to state and with the type of permits/licenses that are needed.


Q: can you explain the various cost and process of buying content for a site?

A; The process is relatively easy. Find one of the hundred or so websites owned by companies that specialize in the sale of adult content and pick and chose what you want. The cost of this process will depend on the type of content and the quantity you purchase. All of the dealers will have extensive and detailed price listings. Just Google “Adult Content Providers” and you will find several listings. A little “window shopping” in the categories that interest you will give you a better idea.

Q: what is the process of filming my own content and getting it on to a site?

A: Film it, Edit it, Convert it to the correct formats (ie: avi, mpeg, wmv, mov) and up-load it to the correct place on your server. This process requires some experience, high quality imaging equipment (cameras), expensive video editing/conversion software, high end computer equipment, and assumes the site has already been set up for streaming or downloadable video.

Q: can you offer any advice?

A: YES! Before you even think about creating your own content, or purchasing content from a provider understand the legalities of the Adult Entertainment Industry and your responsibility under the law as an adult business owner. DO YOUR RESEARCH on Title 18 Section 2257 and USC Title 28 Part 75, then talk to an attorney before you begin.
