I've finally found someone that may be able to help me. YOU!
I'm 19 years old and live in Pittsburgh, PA. I've recently become curious in the porn industry and becoming an actress in porn -- My question to you is how i can win a part in a movie? Now, I'm not talking award winning, I know that with anything, to be the best it takes time-- but how do actresses in the porn industry get their start? I read an answer of yours in regards to a male trying to make his start-- and you recomended moving to California. I'm currently in school so that is out of the question. I'm not sure if you would know, but IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE TO MAKE A START IN PITTSBURGH? Are there even companies around here in the porn industry? How do I find open interviews? What kind of pictures do I need? Or do you know of any websites I could go to that would inform me of job openings in this business i my area? Basically, Fox. I'm clueless. All I know, is that I"m attractive, want to make some money, love sex-- and see porn as a way to do the freaky things I fantasize about but am unable to go through with in real life and make some extra cash. If you could atleast give me a head start I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks for your time.

I hope you get this in time. I'll be in Pittsburgh just for a few hours on Thursday night, on my way up to Niagara from college in DC. I would love to meet you. I'm not some psycho, you can see all my pictures on www.foxelipsus.com (old, bad pictures) and what not... you talk about not being able to fulfil freaky fantasies and what not... you could do anything with me. But to answer your question, yes, you need to go to Los Angeles, most likely. It's lovely out there anyway. Ottherwise you'd need to at least visit L.A. to make some scenes and some money. Get in touch with Jim South or someone out in L.A. and ask him how you can do it from Pittsburgh. It may turn out that the only way is to do it online, or move. Like, host a hot webcam or something, I don't know.

Here's my generic advice for women getting into porn.

You sound delicious, I have to say. It's not usually done, but if you send me a picture at asalehi@gmu.edu (I promise you can trust me) I can properly evaluate what kind of look you should go for, and how they should market you. believe me, you and I know as much about this as they do - they don't really know how to "make you a star" - that's all up to you, your performances, and how you're marketed.

All I can do beyond that is give you the standard advice I usually give to girls getting into porn:

There are porn stars who are hired on the basis of their looks alone, but many of them (the ones who don't look like Pamela Anderson already) are in the business because they are extremely sexual and wild on camera. Having said that, there are plenty of girls who aren't wild and aren't particularly stunning (though I'm sure to some they are) who do very well for themselves.

For every pornstar that is in supposedly perfect shape, there is one who is not model-type "ideal" but often the girls who have a few decent curves and the girls who aren't 18 are the more successful ones who achieve longevity. Men find those "flaws" women worry about and the maturity of a 29 year old extremely appealing. So many of the BIG name pornstars are between 25 and 45, lots of them in their 30s. The 18 year-olds are often flash-in-the-pan sensations, sometimes by choice. Be careful you don't end up like that - be committed to your profession :-)

Getting in the door and making enough money to get surgery is what a lot of the girls do. Go back and look at Brianna Banks (huge titties, friend of mine, Vivid girl) and Jill Kelly (owns her own production company, amazing body) when they first started. They had no curves, tiny breasts, and not-instantly-mesmerizing faces. They were good at fucking, though, and could turn men and women on with the way they did it. Over the years, they spent a lot of their money making themselves look the way they do today, and they're ten times as successful now.

However, there are girls like Devon, who at the height of her fame, completely changed her face with surgery (so sad) and lost a lot of fans, or Cheyenne Silver, who was becoming popular and then had a breast job (recommended by Vivid) and lost a lot of her fans (she was popular with fans of "natural" girls).

So, it's complicated, but as long as you always do what YOu want to do, you'll be fine.

First of all, don't see yourself as less than perfect. Everyone is perfect to someone (even visually) and you're probably perfect to MANY MANY guys. When you get in the business, they will NOT make you feel beautiful. That's the way it is for all girls in the business. You have to believe that for yourself. Those guys have seen EVERYTHING and are just nonresponsive to pretty girls anymore. Remember that, when you get the feeling the guys aren't digging you, that they're in porn - lots of them are gay or completely desensitized. The guys that WILL make you feel good are the directors (some of them) and the male stars (most of them) if they think you're a hottie.

Marc Davis, Sean Michaels, Mr. Marcus, Seymore Butts and the Evil Empire (John Stagliano's company) LOVE women - they make women feel very good... I've met four of them and they're lovely guys and I recommend working with them. I've met a lot of other male pornstars too and they'er generally nice guys. I don't recommend working with Vince Vouyer and for Extreme Associates 'cause they're sometimes a little abusive, but if you like that kind of thing, have fun. Also, steer clear of the guy called Matt Zane and JT productions - ouch.

Don't tell them I said that - I know some of those guys.

Now if you're gonna do this you have to either visit or preferably move to the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles. Once you get there, get your sexiest outfit on and go and visit some of the major studios. Try Metro, Wicked, Elegant Angel and VCA Platinum (in Chatsworth) and Vivid (in van Nuys). When you're in Wicked, ask for Brad Armstrong and when they say he's too busy, insist on getting a short meeting with him. If you're hot, he'll hire you instantly and they're one of the top companies.

But before you do all that go to see JIM SOUTH at World Modeling. He's located on van Nuys Boulevard in Sherman Oaks, he's in the book, and you can see his website at www.worldmodeling.com

He supplies ALL the girls for Suze Randall (she does the Cheri, High Society, some Club etc pictorials) and many pornstars to top companies. He's totally trustworthy and very very very well known. Make sure you try him first! You may not even have to work in porn - you may be hot enough to do magazine work for Suze Randall (who shoots for Penthouse) and so on... then porn will be your choice rather than your single goal, and you can make a lot more money if you start as a magazine model and then switch to porn (because you're "wanted" already, and known)

There are ponrstars of EVERY type - I know that if you're cute or good at sex and especially both, you can make it. You have to be forceful, you have to be active, and just go and get involved!

Also, say no to the drugs... about half the people in the industry are involved up to a point, but that's LA in general. getting into drugs will wreck your career and your kid's lives. There are lots of very happy kids whose mothers are pornstars. Some of them know, others don't - that's up to you. Just don't get into the drugs!

Also, I've slept with 3 or 4 pornstars but not for awhile and I LOVE pornstars and the kind of sexually liberal girls that become pornstars, so if you ever make it, especially if you make it by following my advice, don't forget me! I'm fairly attractive too (younger than you think - just very experienced in the porn industry) and I can do really amazing things.

If you love orgasms, definitely do a scene with Seymore Butts one day and ask him to make you squirt. He's not the best looking pornstar, but there's NOTHING like an ejaculating, g-spot orgasm.
