Question Hi Me and my girlfriend have been tossing around the idea of swinging for awhile now, pretty much after our threesome with my ex.

I would strongly recommend going to the NASCA.com website and first reading the FAQs, there is a LOT of valuable information there.
Then there are two ways to get into the pool, dipping your toe in and entering slowly (via website and meeting people through forum postings and profiles, i.e. seeing who you'll be playing with) or diving in (heading to your local swing club and taking your chances).
If you two are unsure, reserved or slightly picky about who you wish to party with I would recommend the website approach. If you've read any of my previous answers you will know that I personally recommend 1 website over all the others (www.clubforeplay.com referral #13442 ).
I personally would recommend the website & profile approach first, cause then you can find out which clubs in your area cater to which people (i.e. there are clubs favored by the Ken & Barbies, clubs favored by naturalists/nudists, clubs that cater to the More to Love concept and clubs favored by a more senior crowd). You will also get a chance to see, via profile pictures, the people in your area and determine your attraction level.
Last note about the website, is there are events both local & national listed down the middle of the home page.
