We've recently decided to try swinging and were wondering what the best place is to meet people. Club, web site, or something else?
We are currently on www.adultfriendfinder.com, but we are getting mixed responses. People CONTACT US and tell us they like our pics and profile, and when we ask if we could see more photos (there was only a boob shot of the woman), they don't respond!
And everything was ok with another couple until we asked them where they'd like to meet. And then... no response.
Is this normal? Because it seems like a lot of people are unsure of themselves in swingland.
We didn't want to go to a club because we thought it would be easier to say what we did and did not want through a web site. But is this true?
Any advice or experience would be appreciated, even from other sources.

Answer Believe me, there are a lot of strange people in swingland. It seems as if you meet most of them when you start out swinging.
Let me speak frankly, most of the time who contacts you depends on luck. If you really want to meet through a website I reccommend www.swappernet.com. We have had some good luck there. But of course, your mileage may vary.
If you are really good-looking people, then you will probably have better luck at a club. At most clubs, it seems to me, the better looking you are the more action you get. And don't be shy about telling people what you want and don't want. It saves a lot of trouble and embarassment if everyone understands what everyone will and won't do. If anyone is offended by that then you really haven't lost much. Either they don't know what they want or they want something you don't. Move on to someone else. And always, always, no means no.
