Question
ok, i have tried everything to get this proof to work, and i dont think it does, here is the question

COS 2(t)= [2-SEC^2(t)]/SEC^2(t)

Answer
if by this you mean

cos(2t) = (2 - sec(t)^2)/(sec(t)^2))

(2 - (1/cos(t))^2)/(1/cos(t)^2)

((2cos(t)^2 - 1)/cos(t)^2)/(1/cos(t)^2)

(2cos(t)^2 - 1)/cos(t)^2) * cos(t)^2

2cos(t)^2 - 1

cos(2t) = 2cos(t)^2 - 1

so

cos(2t) = (2 - sec(t)^2)/(sec(t)^2))
