2x+y+2z=4  (B)
-3x+2y-2z=-10  (C)

Here is what you do:

Take two of your equations and find a combination that eliminates a variable.

I would take -2A + B, and eliminate x.

That gives:
5y - 4z = - 10

Take another two and eliminate the same variable.

Take 3A + C, and eliminate x.

-4y + 7z = 11

Now you have two equations in two variables.  I will assume you know what to do at that point.  (Hint; you are going to get FRACTIONS, assuming you entered the example correctly.  Sorry about that.)

Expertise

I can answer questions in basic to advanced algebra (theory of equations, complex numbers), precalculus (functions, graphs, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions and identities), basic probability, and finite mathematics, including mathematical induction. I can also try (but not guarantee) to answer questions on Abstract Algebra -- groups, rings, etc. and Analysis -- sequences, limits, continuity. I won't understand specialized engineering or business jargon.

Experience

I taught at a two-year college for 25 years, including all subjects from algebra to third-semester calculus.
