Question
how do i solve 2+4x<_3*2^x

Answer
Hi Jennifer,

I would approach this graphically.  Use a graphing calculator, or an online graphing program and graph

Y1 = 2+4x

Y2 = 3 * 2^x

and use it to see where Y1 is below Y2.

You will have to zoom in a few times, and find the intersections points.

I came up with the intervals (-inf, .8868] U [1, inf) for the solution.

Hope this helps.
