Question
I have a scatter plot question for you:
Question goes like this:
You are a manger at a car dealership and want to learn more about the effectiveness of various discounts offered to the customers over 14th months.  there is a table: the first column is the names of the 14 moth so January to February
the second column is the average negotiated price for each month .The third column is the quantities sold of a basic car
So, in Jan the average price was 12,500 and quantity sold was 15 cars.  What would i place on the x axis and what would i put on the y axis?  I need to graph this information on the scatter plot.

Answer
Hi Lily,

Well, you don't specify what the discounts are, but if it were me, I would place the prices on the x axis (you can increment them however you want, depending on how far apart they are), and then the quantity of cars sold on the y-axis.  This would make sense to me, because the number of cars sold is basically a function of the price, not the other way around.
