i dont understand how given v= -2i-4j+3k i am to find the 3d vector
my teacher told us to draw a 3d box but i dont understand how

Hi Melissa,

this is not easy to describe.

What you want to try to do is think of the xy-axis system like the corner of a room or a box;  let the x axis be the "seam" of the corner coming out to the right, and the y-axis the one coming out along the other wall.  Then the z-axis would be the seam coming up between the two walls  forming the corner.  

For this vector, you would go -2 in the x-direction, down 4 in y, and up 3 in z, but its really hard to describe it in perspective.
