Question On a multiple-choice test of 10 questions, each question has 5 possible answers. A student is certain of the answers to 4 questions but is totally baffled by 6 questions, what is the probability that the student will get a score of 5 or more on the test? Express your answer to two decimal places.
Answer The chance of getting each question wrong is 4/5. Take this value to the number of questions he must guess. This will give the probability of getting only 4 questions right (since it's the probability of getting the remaining questions all wrong). If he does not get only 4, then he has 5 or more. The answer is then one minus the probability.
