Question
Information on a packet of macaroni cheese per 100g,protein 3.3g,fat 5.3g, carbohydrate 16.8g,sugar 2.4g, calcium 42mg.
a. what is the ratio of protein to calcium?
b.what is the ratio of fat carbohydrate to sugar

Answer
Hi Kieren,

Well, for the first ratio, be aware that you have to convert units so that they match.

You could say the 3.3g of protein = 3300 mg, then the ratio of

protein to calcium would be :  3300/42 = 78.6 to 1

For the second one, I'm not sure what you want here, because you wrote

"fat carbohydrate" to sugar.  Do you mean "fat + carbohydrate"?
Or just fat?

If its fat + carbohydrate, then you would have

   5.3 + 16.8 / 2.4 = 9.2 to 1

If its just fat, you would have

  5.3 / 2.4 = 2.2 to 1

I hope this is what you needed.
