Question hallo sirim form malaysia.. i have a qustion and i dont know how to solve this, can you factorize this equation? X^2 - 28Z - 480 = 0
thank you sir
Answer if you mean x^2 - 28x - 480 = 0, then
x = (-b ± sqrt(b^2 - 4ac))/(2a)
x = (-(-28) ± sqrt((-28)^2 - 4(1)(-480)))/(2(1))
x = (28 ± sqrt(784 + 1920))/2
x = (28 ± sqrt(2704))/2
x = (28 ± 52)/2
x = (80/2) or (-24/2)
x = 40 or -12
so in factored form that would be
(x - 40)(x + 12)
you can also go to www.quickmath.com and it will factor it for you.
