Question
Q:Find the area swept out by the pendulum of length 24.70 cm that swings through an angle of 12.75 degree.I need answer in detail.Thank you

Answer
Hi Ahmed,

Well the area of a circular sector is

                  A = 1/2 * r^2 * @    where r = radius,
                                       @ = angle in radians.

To get 12.75 degrees into radians, you have to multiply by pi/180, and here the radius is 24.70 cm, so the result is

           A = (1/2) * (24.70^2) * (12.75pi/180)

             = 67.88 cm
