Question
I have linear graph, real simple, "Y=X" I need to scale down my highest number '23' by multiplying it by .53.  I need all numbers between 23 and 0 to scale down as well but not by '.53'. They need to scale down less and less the lower the value gets, to when it gets to '1' it scales down only a small fraction. Hope this makes sence.

Answer
You mean Y = 0.53X?  Multiplying the first column by 0.53 gives the second column.
23   12.19
22   11.66
21   11.13
20   10.6
19   10.07
18   9.54
17   9.01
16   8.48
15   7.95
14   7.42
13   6.89
12   6.36
11   5.83
10   5.3
9   4.77
8   4.24
7   3.71
6   3.18
5   2.65
4   2.12
3   1.59
2   1.06
1   0.53

This is probably not it, but I'll do it anyway.
If you mean the factor should increasee to 1 when it gets to 1,
here is a list of the number, the multiplier, and the result.
23   0.5300   12.1900
22   0.5514   12.1300
21   0.5727   12.0273
20   0.5941   11.8818
19   0.6155   11.6936
18   0.6368   11.4627
17   0.6582   11.1891
16   0.6795   10.8727
15   0.7009   10.5136
14   0.7223   10.1118
13   0.7436   9.6673
12   0.7650   9.1800
11   0.7864   8.6500
10   0.8077   8.0773
9   0.8291   7.4618
8   0.8505   6.8036
7   0.8718   6.1027
6   0.8932   5.3591
5   0.9145   4.5727
4   0.9359   3.7436
3   0.9573   2.8718
2   0.9786   1.9573
1   1.0000   1.0000
where this has a factor of 0.021363636 that is added on to get from the numer at n to n+1.

Perhapts the scale factor at 1 should be 0.1.
That gives us the number, the factor, and the result of multiplying the two:
23   0.5300   12.1900
22   0.5105   11.2300
21   0.4909   10.3091
20   0.4714   9.4273
19   0.4518   8.5845
18   0.4323   7.7809
17   0.4127   7.0164
16   0.3932   6.2909
15   0.3736   5.6045
14   0.3541   4.9573
13   0.3345   4.3491
12   0.3150   3.7800
11   0.2955   3.2500
10   0.2759   2.7591
9   0.2564   2.3073
8   0.2368   1.8945
7   0.2173   1.5209
6   0.1977   1.1864
5   0.1782   0.8909
4   0.1586   0.6345
3   0.1391   0.4173
2   0.1195   0.2391
1   0.1000   0.1000

Expertise

I can answer any question in general math, arithetic, discret math, algebra, box problems, geometry, filling a tank with water, trigonometry, pre-calculus, linear algebra, complex mathematics, probability, statistics, and most of anything else that relates to math. I can even tell you it takes me over 2,000 steps to go a mile, but is that relevant?

Experience

Experience in the area; I have tutored people in the above areas of mathematics for almost two years in AllExperts.com. I have tutored people here and there in mathematics since before I received a BS degree almost 25 years ago. In just two more years, I received an MS degree as well, but more on that later. I tutored at OSU in the math center for all six years I was there. Most students offering assistance were juniors, seniors, or graduate students. I was allowed to tutor as a freshman. I tutored at Mathnasium for well over a year. I worked at The Boeing Company for over 5 years. I received an MS degreee in Mathematics from Oregon State Univeristy. The classes I took were over 100 hours of upper division credits in mathematical courses such as calculus, statistics, probabilty, linear algrebra, powers, linear regression, matrices, and more. I graduated with honors in both my BS and MS degrees. Past/Present Clients: College Students at Oregon State University, various math people since college, over 7,500 people on the PC from the US and rest the world.

Publications
My master's paper was published in the OSU journal. The subject of it was Numerical Analysis used in shock waves and rarefaction fans. It dealt with discontinuities that arose over time. They were solved using the Leap Frog method. That method was used and improvements of it were shown. The improvements were by Enquist-Osher, Godunov, and Lax-Wendroff.

Education/Credentials
Master of Science at OSU with high honors in mathematics. Bachelor of Science at OSU with high honors in mathematical sciences. This degree involved mathematics, statistics, and computer science. I also took sophmore level physics and chemistry while I was attending college. On the side I took raquetball, but that's still not relevant.

Awards and Honors
I earned high honors in both my BS degree and MS degree from Oregon State. I was in near the top in most of my classes. In several classes in mathematics, I was first. In a class of over 100 students, I was always one of the first ones to complete the test. I graduated with well over 50 credits in upper division mathematics.

Past/Present Clients
My clients have been students at OSU, people nearby, friends with math questions, and several people every day on the PC, and you're probably make one more.
