Question
Hello, I was wandering if you could answer my question: What kind of mathematics am I dealing with here? Consider this: Everywhere around you in space, there are series and combinations of infinite numbers. When certain numbers match up, they cause certain events to occur. For example, say that we could graph our lives on a coordinate plane. When our lives hit a certain number on the plane, the (X,Y,Z)'s match up and cause a certain event to happen. Let's say that on a graph, my line runs through the numbers (3,5,7). This might cause an event such as a death to occur. What kind of mathematics am I dealing with here? Is there a name to this kind of math? I've heard it deals with Chaos Theory, but what exactly would you call this and how exactly would one go about solving these kinds of problems? I'm only a Senior in high school, and I'm taking Pre-Calculus, but my mind often thinks of these things and I find it really interesting. I just don't know how one would approach this kind of problem. Thank you very much.

Answer
That would be a miatrix of almost infinite size with variables for each action somewhere between 0 (no) and 1 (yes).  They would be in between for events that could be partially done.  The variables would be the events and the outcomes would be the actions involved.

How exactly this would be done with numbers, I'm not really sure.

I graduated with honors in both my BS and MS degrees. Publications
My master's paper was published in the OSU journal. The subject of it was Numerical Analysis used in shock waves and rarefaction fans. It dealt with discontinuities that arose over time. They were solved using the Leap Frog method. That method was used and improvements of it were shown. The improvements were by Enquist-Osher, Godunov, and Lax-Wendroff.

Education/Credentials
Master of Science at OSU with high honors in mathematics. Bachelor of Science at OSU with high honors in mathematical sciences. This degree involved mathematics, statistics, and computer science. I also took sophmore level physics and chemistry while I was attending college. On the side I took raquetball, but that's still not relevant.

Awards and Honors
I earned high honors in both my BS degree and MS degree from Oregon State. I was in near the top in most of my classes. In several classes in mathematics, I was first. In a class of over 100 students, I was always one of the first ones to complete the test. I graduated with well over 50 credits in upper division mathematics.
