Question
Directions- solve each equation for solutions over the interval [0*,360*] (*=degrees). Give solutions to the nearest tenth as appropriate.

Question- cos^2 Θ -sin^2 Θ =0

Answer
What you gave me factors as (cos^2 theta - sin^2 theta) = (cos theta + sin theta)(cos theta - sin theta)= 0. When cos theta - sin theta = 0 one answer is that theta is 45 degrees and another answer is when theta is 225 degrees. When theta is 135 degrees cos theta + sin theta is 0. This will also be true when theta is 315 degrees.
