Question:  a cylindrical jar with hieght 8 inches and diameter 6 inches is filled to 75% of its capacity with juice. the juice is then poured to another cylindrical jar with a 10 inch diameter and a height of 4 inches. to what percent of its capacity is the second container filled with juice?
....................................
The first jar has capacity  pi (3)^2(8) = 72 pi, and 75% of that is 54 pi.

The second jar has capacity  pi (5)^2(4) = 100 pi.

54pi is 54% of 100 pi.

P.S. Don't mark PRIVATE.  I change it, anyway.  If you don't want anyone to see your question or answer, you have to send it elsewhere.

Expertise

I can answer questions in basic to advanced algebra (theory of equations, complex numbers), precalculus (functions, graphs, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions and identities), basic probability, and finite mathematics, including mathematical induction. I can also try (but not guarantee) to answer questions on Abstract Algebra -- groups, rings, etc. and Analysis -- sequences, limits, continuity. I won't understand specialized engineering or business jargon.

Experience

I taught at a two-year college for 25 years, including all subjects from algebra to third-semester calculus.
