Question
The distance between two buildings is 140 feet. You are standing on the roof of the taller building. You measure the angle of depression of the top and bottom of the shorter building. The angles are 35.9 and 71.1, respectively. Find the height of the taller building.
Find the height of the shorter building.

Answer
90 - 35.9 = 54.1

tan(54.1) = x/140

x = 140tan(54.1)
x = about 193.4

------------------------

90 - 71.1 = 18.9

tan(18.9) = y/140
y = 140tan(18.9)
y = about 47.9

so to find the height of the smaller building

140tan(54.1) - 140tan(18.9) = 140(tan(54.1) - tan(18.9)) = about 145.4697

ANS :
Taller = 193ft
Smaller = 145ft

so it all depends on how your rounding it.
