Question
dear sir,
how can we find the cubic feet of wooden box when the internal size of the box is known

prefered a formula in an excel sheet.

Hi Milansingh,

First, I would need to know the width or thickness of the wood. Also, I need to know the dimensions of the box.


So let the thickness be d.

Let the dimensions of the interior of the box be l,h, and w.

(2lh + 2lw + 2hw)*d would be the total volume of the box.

Also, this year I have been invited to the USAMO which is a prestigious math competition (Every year the USAMO invites 500 students from across the USA to participate in this competition. The top 6 go to represent the USA in the International Math Olympiad).

Education/Credentials
I am entering high school and have received a perfect score and the STAR test 5 times in a row. I also have gotten recognitions in the AMC 10, AIME, Math Counts, and ARML. Additionally, I have won the San Diego Math Olimpiad twice in a row.
