Question
Hello,
I'm in the 6th grade and I cannot find the rule from the follwing table.

x=5, -5, 0, -1
y=25, 25, 0, 1

please help this one is driving me crazy

Answer
Hi Sabrina~
    Look at the x values and the y values and see if you can find a pattern. I am going to write the (x,y) as an ordered pair, it might be easier to see a pattern...
(5,25), (-5,25), (0,0), (-1,1)
How are 5 and 25 and -5 and 25 related? What if you were to square 5 and square -5 , what would happen? How about if you were to square 0? What about squaring -1? Would you get the corresponding y value???
