Question
Hi There,

I am wanting to save money. I note that every morning I drink a coffee that costs $4 a day. $5 on Saturday & Sunday.

Just wondering if I didn't spend on coffee for the rest of the month of August how much would I save and

If I didn't spend on coffee from what remains of August to end of year, how much spare cash could I have before Christmas?

Answer
Hi Jessie~
Figure out how many Sat and Sun left in August and multiply that number by $5 and how many 'other' days left in Aug and multiply that number by $4 and then add those two answers together to get the amount of money you would save in August by not buying any coffees. As for what you would save for the rest of the year, look at a calendar. Every month except September and November have 31 days (Sept and Nov have 30 days)but count the number of Sat and Sun and multiply by $5 and then count the number of 'other' days and multiply that number by $4 and add the two totals together to get the amount of money you can save til the end of the year.
