Question
How do you do:

5th root of 64x^6y^5z^12

Answer
The 5th root means you need to take every factor to the 1/5 power. So you have as factors 64,x^6,y^5,z^12. 64 = 2^6, so (2^6)^(1/5)= 2^(6/5) = 2^(5/5)*2^(1/5) = 2^1*2^(1/5) = 2*2^(1/5). All the other factors are done similarly. For example (z^12)^(1/5) =  z^(12/5) = z^(10/5)*z^(2/5) = z^2*z^(2/5). You can complete the other factors correct?
