Question
2x-y-z=11
x+y-4z=-1
-x+3y+z=-10

Answer
2x - y - z = 11
x + y - 4z = -1
-x + 3y + z = -10

x + y - 4z = -1
-x + 3y + z = -10

4y - 3z = -11

4y = 3z - 11
y = (3/4)z - (11/4)

2x - y - z = 11
x + y - 4z = -1

3x - 5z = 10
3x = 5z + 10
x = (5/3)z + (10/3)

2x - y - z = 11
-x + 3y + z = -10

x + 2y = 1
x = -2y + 1

x = -2((3/4)z - (11/4)) + 1
x = (-3/2)z + (11/2) + 1
x = (-3/2)z + (13/2)

(5/3)z + (10/3) = (-3/2)z + (13/2)
10z + 20 = -9z + 39
19z = 19
z = 1

x = (5/3) + (10/3)
x = (15/3)
x = 5

y = (3/4) - (11/4)
y = (-8/4)
y = -2

so

x = 5
y = -2
z = 1
