Question
I'm trying to find the value for y when I am given the value for x.  The data I have is
input(x) 1,2, 3,?, ?, 6
output(y)8,14,?,24,28,?

    Write these as ordered pairs (points) and choose any two to find the slope and when you have the slope use the point-slope formula of a line:

(1,8),(2,14),(3,?),(?,24),(?,28),(6,?)

Use (1,8),(2,14) to find the slope: (14-8)/(2-1) = 6/1
Use either point in the point-slope formula y-y1 = m(x-x1):
y-8 = 6(x-1)
      = 6x - 6
 +8 =    + 8
y = 6x + 2

Now for (3,?) you know that x is 3 put it into the equation above:
y = 6(3) + 2 -> y = 18 + 2 -> y = 20 so the ordered pair is (3,20). The rest are done similarly.
