Question
A teacher needs 6 craft sticks for each student in a class
for a project which algebraic expression shows the situition if s represents the# of students

Answer
Anita~

If s = the number of students and you need 6 craft students for each student then 6s equals the number of craft sticks for s students. You can check this out for small numbers of s:
1 student, then you need 1*6 = 6 sticks
2 students, then you need 2*6 = 12 sticks
3 students, then you need 3*6 = 18 sticks
         ***
s students, then you need s*6 = 6s sticks
