Question
Simplify:0.2(3m+1=625. and 0.5(m+1)=4

Answer
Hi Joy,
a) 0.2(3m + 1) = 625
(0.2)(3m) + (0.2)(1) = 625
0.6m + 0.2 = 625
0.6m = 625 - 0.2
0.6m = 624.8
m = 624.8/0.6
 = 1041.33

b) 0.5(m + 1) = 4
(0.5)(m) + (0.5)(1) = 4
0.5m + 0.5 = 4
0.5m = 4 - 0.5
0.5m = 3.5
m = 3.5/0.5
 = 7
