Question
What geometric figure results from the following polar equation?
Give the rectangular form of the equation.
r sin theta = 2
Thank you for help.

Answer
Travis~
In polar coordinates r sin theta is just the y coordinate and r cos theta is the x coordinate. So really all you have here is y = 2 which is a horizontal line that runs through 2 so y = 2.
