Question
find domain and range of function f(x)=1/(x+|x|)

Answer
Hi Dhananjay,
The function f(x) = 1/(x+|x|) is undefined when
x + |x| = 0
i.e when x ≤ 0
The domain is therefore the set of all positive real numbers.
For all x > 0, f(x) > 0 and so the range of the function is the set of all positive real numbers.
