Question
I have some problems to calculate with a square in the formula.  Can you explain
it's purpose?  I have included an example:

x(square symbol)^1/2 when x=9/64

Answer
Mike~

I am not sure what you mean by the square symbol? Are you saying the square root? Or are you saying x^(1/2)? When you use 1/2 as the power that is the same as saying the square root and if you use 1/3 as the power that is the same as saying the cube root, and if you use 1/4 as the power that is the same as the 4th root of the number. In fact if you have x^(m/n) then you are taking the nth root of x to the m power.
If this hasn't answered your question I would ask you to make an image with the symbols and attach it so I can more effectively answer your question.
