Question

Population Growth Curv
Ms.Sherry,
A Very Happy New Year! I have been given this data table and the graph and I am supposed to compare the steepness of different growth curves! Can you help me compare that because I am not sure how to determine which curves are more steeper and which curves are less steeper!
                     Thanks Very Much!

Answer
Andrea~

The curve that has the most change from the beginning to the end is one way to determine the steepness of the curve, so this is what you should do: decide the beginning and ending point for each of the curves and take the difference of the y's over the difference of the x's and the absolute value that is the largest will be the greatest change. Now if what you mean by steepest is going up from left to right you need only look at the highest positive value.
