Question
I need to know what I have in my class so far. Is there anyone good at math that can help?

So how would I do this?

Test 1, Test 2, Test 3 = 60%
Assignment = 40%

The pass mark is 40%.

Results so far: Test 1 = 0%, Test 2 = 4%, Test 3 = 29%

How can I calculate my grade so far?
How much more marks are needed in Test 3 and for assignment?
Please show calculations and formula's used to work this problem.

Hi Farid,
For the three tests you have an average of
(0 + 4 + 29)/3 = 33/3 = 11%
Since these tests account for 60% (i.e 0.6 weight) of the final grade, they contribute
11% x 0.6 = 6.6%
Now, you have just 6.6% of the pass mark of 40% and you therefore need 33.4% from the assignment. Relative to the assignment, this means that you need to get
33.4/40 = 0.835 = 83.5%
success from the assignment.
