Question
would you please help me figure out how to verify tanƟ+cotƟ= 2csc2Ɵ  ?

Answer
Kim

There are a couple of ways to approach this problem. Since 2csc2Ɵ is the 'more complicated' part I would begin to transform it into sines and cosines and see where it takes me.

2csc2Ɵ = 2/2sinƟcosƟ
= 1/sinƟcosƟ
= (sin^2Ɵ + cos^2Ɵ)/sinƟcosƟ
= sinƟ*sinƟ/sinƟcosƟ + cosƟ*cosƟ/sinƟcosƟ
= sinƟ/cosƟ + cosƟ/sinƟ
= tanƟ + cotƟ
