Question
I need an equation for the following input output statement.

S 18 20 22 24 ?  ?  ?
T 9  11 13 15 17 19 21

I can figure out 2t minus 2 more each time but I am not sure how to write this as an equation

Answer
Samantha~

Let T be the dependent variable, and S the independent variable. Find the slope m = (T2-T1)/(S2-S1) = (9-11)/(18-20) => -2/-2 = 1
T-T1 = m(S-S1) => T-9 = 1(S-18)=> T-9 = S - 18 add 9 to both sides => T = S - 9. Now put in T = 17 and get 17 = S - 9 so S = 26 and T = 19 and S = 28 and finally T = 21 and get S = 30.
