Question
1) A restaurant charges $66 per person for a buffet dinner. For every 12 people, one will get it free. A group of people came & paid a total of $5610. How many people were there in the group?

2)During school open house, Pri 5 sold 55 litres of cranberry juice. The cranberry juice was sold in cups containing 200 ml & 300 ml. An equal number of cups containing 200ml & 300mil were sold. how many cups of cranberry juice did Pri 5 sell?

3) Kim has some stickers. If she gives her friends 7 stickers each, she will have 3 stickers left. If she gives 9 stickers each, she will be short of 7 stickers. how may stickers does she have?

Answer
1. If they paid $5610 and $66 gets a person in, then it can be seen that 5610/66 is the same as
510/6, and that is 85.  Since they paid for 85 and every 12 customers gives a free one,
it needs to be noted that 84/12 = 7, so 7 got in free.  Now since 85 pai already,
and 7 got in free beyond that, there was a total of 85 + 7 = 92.

2. Since there is 200 ml in a small cup and 300 ml in a large cup,
and the same number of large and small were sold,
that makes for 500 ml being sold to 2 people.

Now 55 liters is 55,000 ml, and 55000/500 = 550/5 = 110.

3. Since she has n friends, that means that 7n + 3 = s, the number she has.
It also says that giving away 9 each makes her come up shorts, and that is 9n - 7 = s.

Basically, we can set the two equal, since they are both s.
That is, 7n + 3 = 9n - 7, which when 7n is subtracted from both sides, is the same as
3 = 2n - 7.  Now if we add 7 to both sides, we get 10 = 2n, so n = 5.

Now it asked for s, and s aws 9n-7 or 7n+3.
Doing both with n=5 gives 45-7 or 35+3, and both of these turn out to be 38.

Expertise

I can answer any question in general math, arithetic, discret math, algebra, box problems, geometry, filling a tank with water, trigonometry, pre-calculus, linear algebra, complex mathematics, probability, statistics, and most of anything else that relates to math. I can even tell you it takes me over 2,000 steps to go a mile, but is that relevant?

Experience

Experience in the area; I have tutored people in the above areas of mathematics for almost two years in AllExperts.com. I have tutored people here and there in mathematics since before I received a BS degree almost 25 years ago. In just two more years, I received an MS degree as well, but more on that later. I tutored at OSU in the math center for all six years I was there. Most students offering assistance were juniors, seniors, or graduate students. I was allowed to tutor as a freshman. I tutored at Mathnasium for well over a year. I worked at The Boeing Company for over 5 years. I received an MS degreee in Mathematics from Oregon State Univeristy. The classes I took were over 100 hours of upper division credits in mathematical courses such as calculus, statistics, probabilty, linear algrebra, powers, linear regression, matrices, and more. I graduated with honors in both my BS and MS degrees. Past/Present Clients: College Students at Oregon State University, various math people since college, over 7,500 people on the PC from the US and rest the world.

Publications
My master's paper was published in the OSU journal. The subject of it was Numerical Analysis used in shock waves and rarefaction fans. It dealt with discontinuities that arose over time. They were solved using the Leap Frog method. That method was used and improvements of it were shown. The improvements were by Enquist-Osher, Godunov, and Lax-Wendroff.

Education/Credentials
Master of Science at OSU with high honors in mathematics. Bachelor of Science at OSU with high honors in mathematical sciences. This degree involved mathematics, statistics, and computer science. I also took sophmore level physics and chemistry while I was attending college. On the side I took raquetball, but that's still not relevant.

Awards and Honors
I earned high honors in both my BS degree and MS degree from Oregon State. I was in near the top in most of my classes. In several classes in mathematics, I was first. In a class of over 100 students, I was always one of the first ones to complete the test. I graduated with well over 50 credits in upper division mathematics.

Past/Present Clients
My clients have been students at OSU, people nearby, friends with math questions, and several people every day on the PC, and you're probably make one more.
