Question
Will you show or help me to re-write the expression ln((x+3)/xy) as a sum, difference,and/or multiple of logarithms.

Answer
You can take a quotient of logs such as log(a/b) and write it as a difference of logs, like log a - log b. You can take a product of logs like log xy and write it as a sum f logs log x + log y so ln((x+3)/xy) = ln(x+3) -ln(xy) = ln(x+3) -[lnx + lny] = ln (x+3) -lnx-lny
