Question
Hi there,
I am presently contracting my pay after tax (rate of 30%) per week is $1787.48.

Now if I go permanement at this company, what figure do I need to be paid to ensure that I am still paid after tax my weekly in hand cash amount $1787.48.

Please let me know.
Many thanks.
A.

Answer
Let x = the amount of gross pay
then .30x is the tax on the gross pay
and you want a net of 1787.48 so
x - .3x = 1787.48 =>
.7x = 1787.48  =>
(.7/.7)x = 1787.48/.7  =>
x = 2553.54

You will need to gross $2553.54 per week in order to net $1787.48 per week
