Question
Solve for x

2^(2-x) = 9^(2x+1)

Thank you
andrea

Answer
2^(2 - x) = 9^(2x + 1)

(2 - x)ln2 = (2x + 1)ln9

2ln2 - xln2 = 2xln9 + ln9

-xln2 - 2xln9 = -2ln2 + ln9
x(-ln2 - 2ln9) = -2ln2 + ln9
x = (-2ln2 + ln9)/(-ln2 - 2ln9)
x = (-2ln2 + ln9)/(-(ln2 + 2ln9))
x = -(-2ln2 + ln9)/(ln2 + 2ln9)
x = (2ln2 - ln9)/(ln2 + 2ln9)
