Question
How do you subtract whole numbers and fractions

example    7
        - 8 15/7

Answer
Hi David,
I don't quite get your figures. But i'll still explain how to perform operations on whole numbers and fractions. For example, if you want to execute
a - b/c
The numerator of fractions are added or substracted only when they have the same denominator. This is the trick, just say
a = ac/c
Therefore,
a - b/c = ac/c - b/c
which can now be
(ac - b)/c
I hope you understand it.
Regards.
