QuestionMr. Sherman,
Thank you for your reply, I have a jpeg of the image, it is fairly rough but accurate, is there anyway for me to attach it to an email address so I can show you.
Many thanks,
Martin

Question -
I need to find a method of calculating the area of an irregular
semicircle, it is irregular in the sense that it is not symmetrical
around the vertical axis and slopes down beneath the horizontal axis
What measurments to take and what formula to use to calculate the area?
Thanks,
Martin
Answer -
if you are talking about an ellipse, which is like a circle, only not evenly symmetrical.
Area = Pi * ab
for half of this, it would be
Area = (pi/2)ab
where "a" and "b" are the 2 radii.

however, if you are talking about the area of a parabola, just let me know.
Other than that, i am going to need a visual, if you can find it online to show me.
Answeris it an online jpg. file or is it a scanned file.
Usually you can either drag it to an outlook express email or with yahoo, click Attach File, then click to search for the file, which should be right beside the Attach File. As far as attaching one to this site, it will have to be an online jpg file for you to give it to me, all you have to do is send me the online website that has this file.
right now, i only have a yahoo email that is available for public use between people that need my help, but i don't want to give out my email if i don't need to or if it turns out i can't really help you like i think i can.
