x cannot equal 1

f(x) = (x^2 - 18)/(-x^2 + 32)
f(x) = (x^2 - 18)/(-(x^2 - 32))
f(x) = -(x^2 - 18)/(x^2 - 32)
x^2 - 32 = 0
x^2 = 32
x = sqrt(32)
x = sqrt(16 * 2)
x = 4sqrt(2)
x cannot equal 4sqrt(2) or -4sqrt(2)
