Question
Two balls are taken out at random from a bag containing 6 red and 2 blue balls. Find the probability that just one ball is blue

Answer
Hi Hassan,

Probability is a ratio of expected over total possible.

In your problem, the total possible is 6+2 or 8. The expected is a blue ball, in which there are two in the total possible. So the ratio is 2/8 or 1/4.

I am not sure what form your teacher asks, but 1/4 can be changed to 25% or 0.25.

I hope this helps,
Jack
